The MIND Diet, it combines the DASH and the Mediterranean diet. A Plant-based diet that emphasizes fruits, veggies, whole grains, legumes, healthy fats, fish and poultry.
*#3 servings of fruit, veggies and whole grains PER DAY
*1-2 Servings of fish, poultry and beans per week
*Eat nuts and berries for snacks / 5 or more servings per week
*Chicken/Turkey two times PER WEEK
*Whole grain - Oatmeal, quinoa, brown rice, 100% whole wheat bread
What to AVOID:
*Butter/Margerine (less than 1 Tablespoon)
*Cheese (less than 1 PER WEEK)
*Red Meat (beef, pork, lamb - Less than 3 per week)
*Fried Food
*Processed Snacks
*Ice Cream, cookies, brownies and candy
*Saturated Fats
